Types of Tiles for backsplashes and

A classic ceramic tile that works in just about every style of home. Subway tile comes in many different color glazes, as well as shiny and matte finishes. Ceramic
Ceramic tiles are made from a blend of clays and silicones pressed into shape and then fired in a kiln to produce tough, hard wearing tiles that are resistant to water, spillages and stains.They don’t require any sealing or polishing and are easily wiped clean so are ideal for walls and floors, bathrooms and kitchens. Ceramic tiles come in a wide variety of colours, patterns, sizes, finishes and textures. Glazed ceramic tiles are an obvious choice for walls in bathrooms, kitchens and laundry rooms, but are also often used in reception areas and conservatories. Unglazed ceramic tiles can withstand heavy foot traffic and are often slip resistant.
Porcelain
Made from sands and minerals, it's harder and more dense than ceramic tile and water resistant. Porcelain is always a more popular choice than natural stone for the kitchen because it's impervious to spills. These tiles are stain, scratch, shock, frost and chemical resistant. Many can be used indoors or outdoors and are available in matt and gloss finishes and glazed or polished.
